A magnificent wedding took place on October, Friday the 13th 2017 in Loveland, Colorado at the McCreery House Bed & Breakfast and I was the lucky one to photograph it.
I'd like to start off by saying that Julie of The McCreery House is an absolutely incredible woman. I think every wedding needs a Julie.
Let's talk about how I first met the bride. She would cost me hundreds of dollars, probably thousands over the years. She worked at my favorite store,Torrid. Every time I would go in, Mlaney was the one to help me. After awhile I would ask for her because she always made sure I had the best outfits. I would come in for one or two pieces. She would put them in my dressing room along with ten other things she thought I would like. She was right, every time. One day she told me she got engaged! I jumped at the chance to ask about her engagement photos. She picked me! I got to meet her John and their new puppy, Apples. Then they moved to Colorado and I never thought I'd get a chance to photograph their wedding. UNTIL SHE CALLED!! They wanted to fly me out to Colorado to photograph their special day. I about cried when I learned the news. How cool!
Fast forward to the wedding. Everything about it was different. The groom played the music for the bride to walk down the aisle too. In the middle of the ceremony, instead of a unity candle or a sand ceremony - they took shots of tequila from sugar skulls! During the reception, a tattoo artist was made available for all the guests that wanted to be tattooed. What a great group of guys - a new kind of wedding favor that lasts forever! Check out The Wedding Tattooer or their Facebook Page! The guests all dined on incredible wood fire pizza from Basic Kneads Pizza food truck. ( It was delicious!!!!) Aside from an incredible naked cake and cupcakes the guests were lucky enough to also enjoy VooDoo Doughnuts I highly recommend all of them. Yum Yum Yummy.
I am incredibly lucky and genuinely humbled by this beautiful couple who wanted their wedding day to not only be special for themselves but for their loved ones as well. It will definitely be a wedding that no one will soon forget. Thank you for the memories. Enjoy your sneak peek at your Friday the 13th wedding. So.Freakin.Cool.
